General Membership Terms & Conditions

Membership Agreement Statement:

I accept all membership fees associated with the membership package I have selected and agree to abide by the payment schedule. I understand that a Membership Handbook and Liability Waiver will be shared with me following the acceptance of my membership, and will require my complete review and signature.

Terms & Conditions:

Orientation & Check-In: Upon acceptance of membership, you will be scheduled for an orientation appointment to create your key card and be briefed on building access, and permitted facility uses. Be prepared to show ID.

Facility Access: Machyne’s standard hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9am-7pm, Wednesday 9am-8pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, and closed on Sundays. All-Access Members may use their personal key card to access the facility outside of standard operating hours, but may not bring unauthorized people along with them.

Members may not leave any personal property on overnight unless secured in a rented storage space. Sleeping overnight or any other de facto residential use of the facility are grounds for membership termination.

Personal security: Please secure all valuables. Machyne is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of any personal property left on-site or in vehicles.

Tool Station Access: Members may use any tool station for which they have been properly trained on. A Machyne staff member or instructor must also agree that the member possesses the basic safe handling capacity for that tool station. If any member is identified engaging in unsafe tool handling operations that may cause injury to oneself, others, or the equipment, a member’s tool use privileges may be revoked until the class or instruction has been repeated or competence has been established. Extremely unsafe tool handling, such as operation while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication, or extreme fatigue may result in immediate membership termination. Please see our Membership Handbook for the entire safety policy.

Member Code of Conduct: Members are expected to act in accordance with the Code of Conduct outlined in the Membership Handbook and to refrain from any behavior that is disrespectful or substantively disruptive to fellow members, visitors, or the facility.

Members and guests agree not to utilize the facility or internet connection to conduct any illegal activity. Members and guests agree not to engage in aggressive solicitation to other members or guests, such as for the sale of goods or services.

Membership may be suspended or revoked at the sole discretion of management if a member poses a threat to the health, safety, or property of our community, or code of conduct violations.
